How to Add Affiliate Ad Links in WordPress Blog
This section will cover how to add banner ad links, text ad links, and product ad links in your WordPress blog post or page. Most affiliate links are given to you in the form of HTML or JavaScript. So to add these banners, text, product links to your website we will have to insert them the same way we would insert any HTML or JavaScript code to your WordPress blog. This is a rather simple process. It's basically just copy the HTML code given to you by your affiliate program and paste it on your blog. There are certain places where you need to paste this HTML or JavaScript code for it to work properly, this is where this guide will help you. Just follow the steps below.
- Login to your affiliate program and get your HTML code for the banner, text, product link you want to promote on your blog. If you don't know how to get the HTML code from your affiliate program I suggest you read: Using General Affilite Programs
- Select and copy the affiliate link HTML code provided to you by your affiliate program.
- Login to your blog by going to http://your-domain.com/wp-admin/ and enter your username and password.
- Open the Post or Page you want to add this affiliate link code to or create a new Post or Page.
- On the top right of your Post/Page box there will be 2 buttons Visual and HTML, click on HTML. This opens your HTML editor.
- Now right click in the Post/Page box and go to Paste (make sure your cursor is where you want to place this ad, you will see the HTML or JavaScript code show up, now click Visual.
- You will now see the image, link, or whatever the code you pasted creates, click Save or Publish to save your changes.
